A SILENT BATTLE: 4 THINGS YOU SHOULD NEVER SAY TO SOMEONE STRUGGLING WITH INFERTILITY.

I’m happy that no one has said these things to us, but it could possibly be because we’re not telling many people and not opening ourselves up to these types of interactions.

  1. People say these things thinking they are being helpful and I know they are trying to be supportive but who do these comments help? They worst I feel like I have gotten is the “God has a plan” I want to believe in due time a baby will be in the cards but as of now people are saying that Gods plan right now is for me to struggle to get what I want most. I realized that I have to be privately open, if that makes sense…I don’t blast it, but when people start making comments I have to share so they can realize that making a baby is science and not easy. Good luck in your journey! I will be following 🙂

    1. I’m not a fan of the whole “God’s plan” thing either because I hate to think that God is punishing us for some reason when he doesn’t do the same to crack addicts or murderers. We know people are trying to be helpful, so we’re patient with them in public and then whine to each other in private.

      1. I am so glad that I have a husband that doesn’t mind my whining…ha I smile and say thank you in public and complain to my husband in private, it is a lot easier that way. I definitely agree when it comes to people that don’t deserve to have children but get them anyways, you wonder how anyone can say that is “God’s plan”. I am glad to see and read a blog from the mans perspective.
